WASHINGTON —
U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has issued a standing order that all future legal briefs submitted be in cartoon form instead of the traditional, “legalish,” format.
“When you give us papers with all kind of words it makes it really difficult for us to understand what’s going on,” she explained. “I’m back there with chatGPT and Grok and a team of clerks trying to figure out what the hell ya’ll talkin’ about.”
Henceforth, all legal briefs are required to be on construction paper and include a simple hand-drawn picture clearly articulating the complex legal question, reasoning and proposed resolution with each side clearly represented with giant letters or symbols.
When asked for comment, Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett told Commingled Media, “We are not doing that – she’s an idiot.”
